Vaidy is the engine of Bionic Yantra. As Founder, he brings in unbridled passion for dreaming up audacious projects with strong social impact. His energy and enthusiasm fuels Bionic Yantra and moreover it is infectious.
​
Prior to Bionic Yantra, Vaidy was leading the Transportation vertical comprising tolling/ticketing systems in road and metro rail in India for ACS (later acquired by Xerox and renamed Conduent).
​
Vaidy’s experience includes roles in product delivery management, managing multi-cultural teams across India, Hong Kong, US and Europe. He has worked in both Financial services and in the IT industry managing projects with high ambiguity and complexity, with the associated change management.
​
Vaidy is a graduate in Information Technology from BMS College, Bangalore.

SHIVAKUMAR NAGARAJAN “SHIVA”

Shiva is the navigator of Bionic Yantra. As Founder, he envisions strategies to translate dreams into reality. He has a strong affinity to taking up initiatives that have not been attempted before, essentially voyages of discovery. He is very motivated by the thought of bringing in some joy into the lives of common people who have been impacted health wise, wealth wise or otherwise!

Shiva has over 20 years of experience straddling roles in strategy, sales, pre-sales, delivery and IP. He has worked extensively in the IT industry, especially with Banking and Financial Services customers. In his most recent role, he was the global leader for incubation and assessment of IP Solutions in Capgemini.
​
Shiva has a BE (Mech) from NIT Surathkal and is an alumnus of IIM Lucknow.

Dr C S Kedar
DIRECTOR and FOUNDER

Dr. C S Kedar or “Kedar sir” is the conscience of Bionic Yantra. A systems thinker with a penchant for design of very large social projects, his passion for public service remains undiminished even after 3 decades of non-stop work and his energy levels would be a teenager’s envy. His guidance and wise counsel greatly benefits Bionic Yantra.

Kedar is a former Indian Administrative Services (Ex-IAS) officer, with varied exposures including being the 1st Director of watershed management (even before the term “watershed” came into public usage) in a project funded by the world bank. He served as Finance Secretary, Govt of Karnataka - where he rolled out “KHAZANA”, digitization of all Government financial transactions 24x7 involving networking of 220 government treasuries and 25,000 drawing and disbursing officers pan Karnataka and creating state of art Network Management Centre.
He has a great passion for healthcare projects, especially those addressing the underprivileged. As Cooperation Secretary, he conceptualized and implemented digitization of “Yeshasvini” health insurance scheme providing health cover to 2 million members. BPR and digitization were used to reduce Pre-authorization time from 30 days to 2 days and bill clearance from 90 days to 6 days. As Director General of ESIC he handled health insurance and health service provision to 62 million Indians through a chain of 1500 dispensaries, 150 hospitals and 700 networked hospitals. Rolled out Rs 12 billion project involving total digitization and networking hospitals, dispensaries and 1600 offices pan India and issued 15 million smart cards to insured families.

He served as Joint Secretary in the cabinet Secretariat handling several areas including defence and space. In his most recent role, he was the CEO of JSW Foundation handling a slew of CSR initiatives.
He also served as a bureau member of International Social Security Association (ISSA) – an advisory body to ILO (International Labour Organization) and was an Honorary member on Board of Governors of IIM-Ranchi and on the Board of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwaraa Dharmothana Trust, a revered and respected NGO.

Kedar sir has an M.Sc. in Solid State Physics and a PhD in Public administration.

RUDHRAM GAJENDRAN
BIO MEDICAL ENGINEER

A biomedical engineer and one of the earliest members of the core team at Bionic Yantra, Rudhram has worked in the field of robotic rehabilitation for over 7 years. Having gained his initial experience at the reputed Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, Chicago, Rudhram brings to the table extensive and vital knowledge about robotic rehabilitation devices and its application to individuals requiring assistance.
At Bionic Yantra, his in-depth experience and knowhow has translated into his involvement with the entire lifecycle of device development ranging from the procurement of components and assembly to testing and delivery. He also plays a vital role in defining new protocols and collating relevant software requirements. Finally, he represents the “patient’s perspective” in clinical usage and “therapist/ doctor’s perspective” for user interface needs.
Rudhram holds a B E degree in biomedical Engineering from Manipal University, India and an M.S from University of Illinois at Chicago, USA.
