  • Dr. Ravi Gopal Varma is a highly qualified Neurosurgeon,with a special interest in Movement Disorders. He is one of the leading exponents of the Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) technique to address movement disorders and was responsible for initiating DBS programs at several hospitals in India.

  • Dr. Varma commenced his practice in 1999 as a consultant in the Dept of Neurosurgery in 1999 at Manipal Hospital Bangalore.

  • In 2000, He joined as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at M.S.Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. He worked there for 16 years and in his last position as Professor and Head, Department of Neurosurgery.

  • In May 2016, he joined his current position as Chief of Neuro Sciences and Lead Consultant Neurosurgeon at Aster CMI Hospital.

  • Dr. Arun Jayaraman is an Associate Professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy & Human Movement Sciences, and Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University's Medical School. 

  • He is a Research Scientist at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (SRALab), the No.1 Ranked Rehabilitation Hospital in the United States.

  • Primary focus of research is in prosthetics, orthotics, rehabilitation robotics, and other assistive and adaptive technologies to treat physical disability. 

  • He conducts all his outcomes research using advanced wearable patient monitoring wireless sensors and novel machine learning techniques, in addition to the traditional performance-based and patient-reported outcome measures. 

  • He is internationally recognized in the field of Rehabilitation for work in Robotics, Prosthetics, Orthotics & Wearable Sensors.

  • Head of the Max Nader Center for Rehabilitation Technologies & Outcomes Research has been a mentor for Bionic Yantra since inception. Dr Arun has helped us with advice on protocols used for robotic rehabilitation, clinical trial formats and enabling interaction with other SRALab staff.

  • He worked a consultant in UAE for 5 years, Kenya and parts of East Africa for 2 years. 

  • He has been running a private practice since 2002 at Shree Mathru Lifecare Diagnostics Centre, Bangalore.
